Blog 5 - Who is a person/expert on your field that you admire?

Leila Guerriero I'm not much of a fan of journalists, but Leila Guerriero and her pen captivated me. I met her last year in the Reportage class, when teacher Ximena Póo recommended us to read a report that Leila had written. It is ironic that she is my favorite, as she did not study journalism and is not technically a journalist. She has interviewed and written about many well known people. From Nicanor Parra to Hugo Chávez. Musicians, writers, journalists, poets. Anyone who is an artist in their field. It's amazing how he can bring you close to people's sensibility through words and phrases. His way of following the story is something I haven't seen before. I haven't read books by her, but I definitely recommend Plano Americano , there I was able to read some of her profiles and of course, it's wonderful what you learn when you read about someone from another eye, an eye that observes sensations and not trivialities. If you like writing more than reading, this ...

Blog 4 - Food you like

My favorite food Since becoming a vegetarian, I have had to change many ingredients in my favorite recipes, like noodles with bolognese sauce, my favorite food for as long as I can remember. Now I make the sauce with soy protein and not with meat, and honestly I don't see a big change. I soak the soy for 10 minutes in warm water and pour it into a frying pan with a little oil and previously fried vegetables (paprika, garlic, onion, tomato). I season with soy sauce and black pepper. Then, when everything is mixed, I add tomato sauce and oregano, wait for it to boil and it is ready. I am very concerned that my meals are nutritionally dense. I use integral noodles for this recipe to provide fiber, minerals and protein to the food. It has the right balance of minerals, vitamins, proteins, carbohydrates and is naturally low-fat. I recommend it.

Blog 3 - My Favorite Piece of Technology

Bluetooth My favorite technology is Bluetooth, as it is present in many things I do on a daily basis. For college essays I listen to music constantly and with headphones, since I live with someone else. When I am alone I listen to music through the speakerphone, which also uses this technology, and when I am with my friends or at a party, anyone can play music on the speaker from their cell phone. There are also keyboards, mouse and anything else that takes up cables as a connection. Bluetooth is very important in my discipline and my concentration, because when I listen to music or podcasts, I do everything in a more efficient way. Cleaning, reading or writing some chronicle. Many people use it and I recommend buying devices with Bluetooth connection rather than with cables. If it comes to effectiveness, this type of wireless connection wins, although I admit that cables win in sound professionalism, it's just that not all of us are professionals.

Blog 2 - Why did I choose my major?

The year 2021 I entered at the Universidad de Chile to study journalism. After graduating from high school, I tried to study music pedagogy at the Universidad de Concepción, but after a month, I has some inconveniences, so I abandoned my studies and dedicated myself to work that year and the following year. I wanted to study that career because I love the music. Ever since I was a little boy, I always wanted to be a musician recognized for his skills. It is a dream that I still want to fulfill, but at a later date. I love learning things, I have worked in construction and in the field. Because of me I would study all my life, from the perception of the understanding of the matter. This is how I have approached journalism for more than two years, from the point of view of communicating and having a good time. I think it's my foundation for my future self.
